Tuesday, July 1

8 a.m. An anonymous caller from Eagle Crest reported a dog at large acting aggressively and barking at her. The dog was returned to its owner, Emerald Coleman, 22, Pea Ridge, who was cited for dog at large.

10:26 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Spruce Street for a possibly unconscious person. Police assisted, gained access to the residence, until ambulance personnel arrived.

5:30 p.m. Police were asked to assist Oklahoma Probation Office in locating a man who showed an address on John W. Montgomery Circle for a felony warrant. Police were unable to locate the man.

7 p.m. A resident on South Curtis Avenue reported a stray German shepherd in her garage. Police picked up the dog and transported it to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

9:21 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on D.J. Duvall to assist a Benton County Sheriff's Office deputy with a person who was resisting arrest. Police assisted placing Stephen Henry, 31, Bella Vista, into a police car and transported him to the Benton County Jail.

Wednesday, July 2

7:38 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hickman Drive for a theft report. The resident reported a diamond ring missing from inside the home and a new weed trimmer missing from the garage. The edge of a table was also broken. Later, the resident reported the weed trimmer was located; it had been borrowed by a neighbor. The ring had still not been found.

2:57 p.m. Police received a report of a reckless driver. Police located the driver who had arrived home. She said she had begun to pass a vehicle in a passing lane, but because the other driver increased his speed, she did not complete passing until in a no-passing zone.

4:01 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Nemett Drive for a residential alarm. The building was found to be secure.

4:59 p.m. Police were dispatched to a business on Slack Street for a stray dog. The dog, a small mixed breed dog, white and tan, wearing a green nylon collar, was picked up and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

5:21 p.m. Police arrested Joshua Courtney, 31, Pea Ridge, for violation of a no contact order.

7:12 p.m. A resident of East Watie Street reported that a loose dog in the area had attacked her dog. During the interview, police were told that three persons -- two males and a female -- were seen in the back yard and asked the resident not to report the incident to police because their dog had already been aggressive. The incident is still under investigation.

9:04 p.m. An anonymous complainant reported three heavily intoxicated people at White Oak Station. The suspects were leaving the station as police pulled in. While following the vehicle, police observed the vehicle travel left of center several times and initiated a traffic stop. As a result of the investigation, police arrested the driver, Rick L. Swanson, 48, Rogers, for DWI, refusal to submit and careless and prohibited driving, and a passenger, Kevin King, 49, Bella Vista, for public intoxication. A female passenger, whose driver's license was suspended, was released. The vehicle was impounded.

Thursday, July 3

12:20 p.m.Police were dispatched to a residence on Todd Circle for a panic alarm. The residents were okay; one resident stated another resident did not know how to use the alarm.

5 p.m. Police were dispatched to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic for a man who was picking up his dog. A citation for dog at large was issued to Kevin. W. King, 49, Bella Vista.

2:08 p.m. As a result of investigating a reckless driver complaint, police arrested Jerrod Lee Brown, 36, Rogers, for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and warrants for failure to appear for Rogers and failure to appear for Eureka Springs, and Jennifer Denise McClung, 37, Rogers, for failure to appear for Rogers and Benton County. After the arrest, police returned to test Brown for DWI drugs. Brown refused the urine test despite previously giving implied consent. He was charged with refusal to submit-DWI.

2:59 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle for a disturbance. Upon arrival at the house, children told police a woman was causing a "big scene, yelling and screaming." The resident did not want to press charges.

Friday, July 4

12:07 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Charles Street for a missing person report. The male reported his wife was missing and he could not contact her. A welfare Be On the Lookout for (BOLO) was issued by Benton County Central Communications. Police contacted both medical facilities in an attempt to locate the woman. police were later given a "location ping" provided by CENCON showing the phone in Anderson, Mo. Police contacted McDonald County, Mo., Sheriff's Office. The woman was found at a friend's house in Powell where she said she was spending the night. The BOLO was canceled.

10:54 a.m. Police were dispatched to an animal call in the area of North Curtis Avenue and Watie near the old Baptist church for a dog tied up on the bushes. Police said that while untangling the dog, a woman walked up claiming the dog was hers.

Saturday, July 5

12:55 a.m. While conducting an extra patrol on Lee Town Drive, police found an open door on the side of a residence near a garage. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing was missing. The homeowner was contacted.

1:52 a.m. Police were dispatched to a business on Slack Street for an alarm. A door was found unlocked but no one was found inside and there was no sign of forced entry.

7:14 a.m. Police were dispatched to a business on North Curtis Avenue for an alarm. The store manager said everything was fine there.

11:14 a.m. Police were contacted by an employee with the Department of Human Services concerning a residence on McRae Lane where she was "conducting a 'hot check.'" An 11-month-old baby was taken into custody by the DHS worker; Jon Ireland Logan, 26, Pea Ridge, was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. Several marijuana pipes, a grinder and two marijuana bongs were taken into custody for evidence.

Sunday, July 6

1:24 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Weston Loop for a stray dog. The small brown dog was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

6:30 p.m. Police picked up a stray dog in the parking lot of a business on North Curtis Avenue; it was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

8:09 p.m. Police were dispatched to First Baptist Church for an alarm. A woman was found there who said her alarm code wasn't working but was eventually able to reset the alarm.

11:16 p.m. Police were dispatched to South Curtis Avenue for a disturbance involving two boys fighting. Police interviewed the suspects and witnesses and determined that two 17-year-old males had conflict and that one purportedly hit the other. The incident will be forwarded to the Benton County Juvenile Probationer's Office.

Monday, July 7

6:45 a.m. A resident of McCulloch Street reported what appeared to be pry marks and dents in the locks of his commercial vehicle and that it appeared someone had attempted to break into his shed. He requested extra patrol in the area.

7:29 a.m. Police to a report of a private property accident on the McDonald's parking lot involving vehicles driven by Alpha R. Nickel, 79, Rogers, and John Kirkwood Dupps, 65, Eureka Springs.

6:16 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle for an animal complaint. A resident complained that several dogs from his neighbor's home were running loose and one was acting aggressively towards him. Police spoke to the owner of the dogs and advised her to keep them penned. She said construction workers had inadvertently let them out.

6:44 p.m. Police were dispatched to a business on Slack Street for an animal welfare concern; a dog was left alone in a parked vehicle. The owner said she left the air conditioning running and the dog was fine.

8:10 p.m. Police were investigating a report of a possible burglary at an abandoned residence on West Pickens Road. A complainant reported seeing two white males driving a light blue Chevrolet S10 around the house. It was not determined whether anything was missing. A BOLO (be on the lookout for) was issued through Benton County Central Communications. The incident is still under investigation.

Tuesday, July 8

12:52 a.m. Police received a report of suspicious circumstances involving a young white male (about 7- to 8-years-old) walking on the road wearing only a pair of shorts. He was found and was walking with his mother.

12:17 a.m. A resident of Hickory Street reported that her husband would not let her in the house and asked if she could enter forcibly. She was advised not to.
