Block Party Beans
Recipe by Winona Woods, Pea Ridge, in the 2008 Cook's Library of Treasures published by the Pea Ridge Community Library
2 lb. ground beef
2 c. onion, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
10 3/4 oz. can cream of tomato soup, undiluted
6 oz. can tomato paste
1/2 c. ketchup
16 oz. can green beans, drained
17 oz. can Lima beans, drained
15 1/2 oz. can wax beans, drained
15 to 16 oz. can chili beans, undrained
16 oz. can pork and beans, undrained
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
In a large Dutch oven, brown beef over medium-high heat; drain. Add onion and celery; cook until tender. Stir in soup, onion and celery; cook until tender. Stir in soup, tomato paste and ketchup. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Pour mixture into a large kettle or roaster pan. Add all remaining ingredients; mix well. Bake, uncovered at 350º for 1 hour. Makes about 25 servings.
This recipe can be frozen.
