Monday, Feb. 3

9:56 a.m. A resident of Charles Street reported a large blue Republic Waste Management trash can stolen from the residence some time Wednesday, Jan. 29.

10 a.m. Jeremiah Thompson, 28, Pea Ridge, reported he had been involved in an accident on Sunday, Feb. 2, and information on the report was taken by a Pea Ridge National Military Park ranger because Pea Ridge police were busy with numerous accidents. According to the report, Thompson was stopped at the intersection of Weston and Slack streets when a vehicle driven by Jesus Sanchez-Miramontes, 43, Rogers, collided with his vehicle. His vehicle was towed by CVT Towing.

Wednesday, Feb. 5

3:40 a.m. Police found two juvenile boys, ages 12 and 14, sitting on a bench near Pea Ridge Middle School. When asked what they were doing, the boys said they were just walking around. Police had them sit in the vehicle because of the extremely cold temperatures (it was about 5 degrees at the time, according to the police report) and contacted the boys' parents. The mother of the 14-year-old said he was supposed to be staying at the 12-year-old boy's house. Police took him home because the mother said she could not drive because of the road conditions. The 12-year-old was taken home to his residence. Both boys were warned about city curfew laws.

8:06 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Barnes Circle for a welfare check on a 25-year-old female who had been physically abused by a 27-year-old male. She told police she was fine, showed them evidence of the abuse, said she did not wish to press charges and did not want to have further contact with the man.

Thursday, Feb. 6

5:42 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Lane Drive for a physical disturbance. Police found no signs of a disturbance or injury.

9:30 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle where a man reported that his 16-year-old daughter had possibly been smoking marijuana. The girl was given a field sobriety test and it was determined she was under the influence of an unknown substance. On the advice of a probation officer with Benton County Juvenile Detention, the girl and her father were to check in with probation on Friday morning.

Friday, Feb. 7

2:40 p.m. A resident of Lynn Drive reported his blue Allied Waste trash can missing. Police noted this is the second Allied trash can missing reported this week.

3:48 p.m. A resident of Hutchenson Street reported his mailbox had been hit and damaged. The driver of the vehicle, Tanner Cramer, 16, Pea Ridge, stopped and told the owner of the mailbox that he slid on the ice and offered to repair the damage.

Saturday, Feb. 8

1:46 a.m. While on patrol, police saw four people walking in the westbound lane of Slack Street but could not identify them because they were "covered with hoods." Because it was past curfew, police made contact and confirmed that all were at least 18 years of age. One person, Tyler Garrett, 20, Pea Ridge, had three felony warrants out of Benton County and one misdemeanor warrant out of Rogers. He was taken to Benton County Jail.

7:50 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Eagle Crest for a civil complaint involving child custody. Police made contact with a male who could not produce the requested court documents. After helping the man, who had gotten his vehicle stuck on ice, police and the man left the scene.

2:47 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wade Lane for a burglary report. The resident reported someone kicked in his door and stole his medication. There was damage to the door frame; nothing else was missing from the residence.

Sunday, Feb. 9

7:45 a.m. Police were dispatched to contact a resident of Eagle Crest concerning a civil matter. Police advised the complainant to contact her attorney concerning her concerns.

1:16 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Bowen Street for a hit and run accident on private property. The property owner reported someone hit his fence and left the scene. The property owner said he heard a loud noise about 10:30 or 11 p.m. the previous night and found the damage this morning. Police investigated the incident. At 7:30 Sunday night, police made contact with Justin Hawkins, 28, Pea Ridge, who admitted he hit the fence, but was already late for work. He agreed to repair the damage.

11:30 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop on Arkansas Highway 94, police arrested Joseph Marshall, 18, Rogers, for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, felony theft of property and obstructing governmental operations. The driver of the vehicle was a 15-year-0ld male from Rogers, who did not have a driver's license. The vehicle was stolen from a residence in Rogers on South 11th Street. There were two minor girls, ages 15 and 16, from Pineville, Mo., in the vehicle; they were released to the custody of their mother who said she did not know the girls were out of the house. The 15-year-old male driver was transported to Benton County Juvenile Detention Center but was not questioned because his guardians were not present.
