The TIMES of Northeast Benton County

A four-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 62 near Garfield that critically injured two people Thursday night was caused by a drunk driver, an Arkansas State Police report states. Heavy holiday traffic was stalled for more than an hour as rescue personnel worked to clear the collision. The injured were transported to area hospitals via helicopter.

A fire destroyed a home in Little Flock Monday morning. The Wilson residence, which sits at the end of Wilson Lane on the west side of Arkansas Highway 94 in Little Flock, caught fire at about 8:30 a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were at work when the fire started, but their five children were home asleep. A fire alarm woke the children up and they reported the fire to 911 emergency services and their father, Mike Wilson. No one was injured in the fire.
