Graves arrested for resisting arrest

A Rogers man was arrested by Pea Ridge Police after he lied about his identity and attempted to run away from them while being questioned.

Wesley William Graves, 23, Rogers, was arrested for obstructing governmental operations and resisting arrest as well as on two failure to appear warrants from Rogers and one felony failure to appear warrant from Benton County.

According to police, Graves was reported as acting suspiciuosly at a local restaurant, then drove to a nearby convenience store where police approached him for questioning. Upon learning that Graves was wanted on warrants from other jurisdictions, police attempted to place him under arrest and he attempted to run away. As a result of Graves' resistance, police administered a "drive stun" to him.

Graves was booked into the Benton County Jail where he was being held Thursday with no bond set.
