Students visited with author

The book signing and Christmas Open House was a great success! A big thank you to everyone who attended. It was a pleasure to meet Ms. Akins. She very graciously spoke to the group which included Ms. Londa Kever, ninth-grade English teacher for the Pea Ridge School District, and several of her students about writing this book and her work on the sequel.

Several autographed copies of her book, "LOOP," were purchased. We look forward to hosting another book signing for the sequel when it is released in late March. Copies of her book will remain in the library for sale until the end of this month.

I appreciate the donations of cookies from Neighborhood Market, Library Board members and patrons. If you were not able to attend, you missed some really tasty treats. There were so many cookies that we continued the party through Thursday. This week it will be back to business as usual.

The library will be open from 1-8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday, Dec. 23. We will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will re-open at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29.

See you at the library!
