The TIMES of Northeast Benton County

There were a number of fender-benders, cars and trucks off in the ditches, people late for work, some business late in opening, but by weekend, it was in the 50s and 60s and the snow had virtually disappeared from all but the most shaded areas.

A large number of illegal hunting incidents are being reported and investigated this year, many in the Pea Ridge National Military Park area at night. Game & Fish officer Bob Massey reported chasing suspected night hunters Saturday night from the PRNMP area until he caught them at Rogers after traveling many back roads. Sunday night, Massey chased a hunter north from the Indian Creek area and was unable to catch him before he got into Missouri. Massey said the hunter had a deer in the back end of his pickup.
