Pea Ridge first-grade students have been making toys for "To Market, To Market," a farmers'-market type event set for 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. The market will be held in the hallways of the Primary School.
No toy will be priced more than $10 and each class will have different toys from which to choose, according to principal Aaron Gaffigan. Parents are asked to bring small bills which will be exchanged for "play money" to use when making purchases from the students.
The students have created the store fronts including the store name, hours of operation and display cases. They were responsible for their own marketing and making advertisements.
All proceeds from the event will go to the classrooms for future project-based learning events in the spring.
