• 8/12 Blake Patton, 20, Pea Ridge, court commit for failure to pay fines and costs

• 8/12 Austin Gibson, 20, Pea Ridge, on an affidavit for third-degree domestic battery; he was booked into the Benton County Jail, for an incident that occurred on Aug. 8.

Friday, Aug. 8

9:59 a.m. An 18-year-old girl reported her boyfriend had beaten her up and has repeatedly for the past six months. Police turned the information over to the city prosecutor from whom they received a probably cause affidavit and arrested Austin Gibson, 20, Pea Ridge, for third-degree domestic battery, on Aug. 12. He was given a no-contact order.

Monday, Aug. 11

9:57 p.m. A manager with Neighborhood Market, Slack Street, reported there were two boys causing problems in the store. It was reported they were cursing and recording video with a phone. When police spoke with the two boys, one was repentant, one was not. With permission of the guardian, the 17-year-old boy was taken back to the store and he apologized to the official. The 15-year-old boy was issued a written warning and told he was not allowed back on that property.

Tuesday, Aug. 12

3:25 p.m. A business owner on Slack Street reported someone had dropped a dog off at their business. Police picked up the female, tan and white, medium-sized dog and took it to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

8:18 p.m. A manager at a Dollar General reported a juvenile male had stolen a black hoody from the store and he was now walking around the north side of the Neighborhood Market. The suspect was found and taken back to the store to speak with the manager. He apologized to the manager and returned the hoody.

Wednesday, Aug. 13

7:24 a.m. Police were dispatched to a private property accident on Lee Town Road involving vehicles driven by Natausha M. Gould, 38, Pea Ridge, and Erin Jenkins, 31, Pea Ridge.

10:58 a.m. A resident on Lynn Drive reported four silver bars stolen from his home in the past several weeks. The value is about $800.

4:01 p.m. Police were dispatched to contact a resident of O.D. Bancroft concerning a trespassing incident. According to the reporting party, two 14-year-old boys had knocked on her teen-age daughter's bedroom window after midnight on at least two different occasions. She wanted them to stay off her property. Police were able to locate the boys and issued them both no trespass warnings.

10 p.m. A resident of Richards Street reported harassing communications from her ex-husband but she didn't want to press charges. She presented police with several pages of vulgar text messages. Police spoke with the man who agreed to stop.

Thursday, Aug. 14

1:50 p.m. Police were dispatched to a business in town for a harassment complaint involving a woman yelling threats at her including that she was going to "kill" her. The reporting party did not want to file charges, but wanted the woman told to stay away from her.

2:45 p.m. Police were dispatched to a private property accident involving vehicles driven by Glen L. Swanson, 74, Pea Ridge, and Patty Patterson, 75, Pea Ridge.

7:27 p.m. Police were dispatched to the area of Lee Town Road and Washburn Drive for a disturbance. Upon arrival, police saw two vehicles that "appeared to have been in a collision." The drivers, Steve Mendez, 28, and Rosalyn Mendez, 29, both of Pea Ridge, had been in a disturbance at a nearby residence where apparently the wife tracked her husband to his "girlfriend's" house through his telephone, showed up there, confronted him then hit him. While driving home, Mrs. Mendez reportedly struck her husband's vehicle with her vehicle. As one police officer was writing the accident report, another was dispatched to a residence on Blair Circle for a criminal mischief report involving a vehicle being "keyed." As a result of the investigation, police arrested Rosalyn J. Mendez, 29, for first-degree assault on a family or household member, third-degree battery and first-degree criminal mischief. She was taken to the Benton County Jail and held for bond.

Friday, Aug. 15

12:09 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Pickens Road for a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Meredith Cordoza, 22, Pea Ridge, for disorderly conduct and drunken, insane and disorderly person.

12:45 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on South Harvey Wakefield for a disturbance. As police arrived, they saw "several individuals running from the front of the residence," according to the police report. The resident of the house said the persons seen running from her house had come there to confront a 20-year-old male in the home, but when she asked the young man to come out, he could not be found. As a result of the investigation, police cited Tasha Jessen, 27, Pea Ridge, for contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allowing the minors to be out after curfew. Cited for minor in possession of alcohol were Matthew Hackett, 18, Washburn, Mo.; Aarisen Wright, 18, Pea Ridge; and a 16-year-old male from Washburn, Mo. Cited for curfew violation under city ordinance were a 16-year-old male from Washburn, Mo., and 14-year-old male, a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, all from Pea Ridge. Six persons were given warnings for trespassing.

8:20 a.m. Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on South Arkansas Highway 94 near Sugar Creek Road involving vehicles driven by Eric S. Pike, 43, Pea Ridge, and Justin C. Sutherlan, 32, Pea Ridge.

5 p.m. Two 15-year-old males from Washburn, Mo., were issued warrants for failure to appear in court for their curfew violation citations.

Sunday, Aug. 17

11:45 a.m. Police received a report from a resident of Van Dorn Street who said she and her three juvenile sons were kicked out of a residence and had no vehicle and no one to call for help. Police took the woman and her children to a women's shelter in Rogers.

7:51 p.m. Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on East Hays Street involving a vehicle driven by Brianna D. Bryant, 16, Pea Ridge, who ran off the road and struck a fence post.
