Fantastic Squash

Recipe from Dorris Mounce, grandmother of editor, Annette Beard

3 c. cooked yellow squash

1 c. sour cream

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 bunch green onions, chopped

1 stick margarine

1 8-oz. package herb-seasoned dressing mix

Cook squash and drain. Add salt and pepper to taste. Combine squash, sour cream, onions. Melt margarine and mix with stuffing mix.

Line bottom of 2-quart casserole dish with half of stuffing mix. Fill dish with squash mixture. Sprinkle top with remaining stuffing mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
