For the good of the children

Members of Bright Futures Pea Ridge, the Pea Ridge School District, First Baptist Church, the Pea Ridge Ministerial Alliance all worked together to minister to more than 260 children Saturday through the annual Back to School Bash. It was heartwarming to see so many people from so many different organizations working together for a common goal.

Officials of the Pea Ridge School District are grateful for the community's love and care of the children.

The Back to School Bash was begun about seven years ago by members of First Baptist Church. This year, Bright Futures Pea Ridge, joined the cause collecting donations and hosting a "Stuff the Bus" event for school supplies. The number of students served was more than doubled last year's numbers.

Thank you, Pea Ridge -- community, church, school and business -- for a wonderful cooperative effort.
