Athletic scholarships awarded

Six Pea Ridge Blackhawk High School student athletes signed letters of intent to colleges in a joint ceremony Wednesday, April 23, in the multi-purpose facility at Pea Ridge High School, according to athletic director, Tony Travis.

Nick Mooneyhan, 17, received a scholarship to Lyon College for golf for $15,000. He plans to major in business. He played golf and track at Pea Ridge High School

Ty Conner, 18, received a scholarship to the University of Arkansas for cheer-leading for $1,700 a year. He plans to major in Broadcast Journalism. He cheered at Pea Ridge High School.

Colton Watkins, 18, received a scholarship to Bethel College for football for $10,000. He plans to major in teaching/coaching. He played football at Pea Ridge High School.

Sara Kahle, 18, received a scholarship to Allen Community College for volleyball for $5,500 per year. She plans to major in Secondary Education. She played volleyball at Pea Ridge High School.

Jerika Schooley, 18, received a scholarship to Crowder College for softball for $1,500. She plans to major in education. She played softball and volleyball at Pea Ridge High School.

Logan Rose, 18, received a scholarship to Lyon College for football for $12,000. He plans to major in business. He played football at Pea Ridge High School.
