New Meadowbrook Ext. Homemaker's Club

Members of the New Meadowbrook Extension Homemaker's Club of Garfield met Wednesday, April 9, at the First Baptist Church, Garfield. President Karen Launderville brought the meeting to order and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Rheta Van Doren gave devotions of Ephesians 6 - 8, and read a "Favorite Recipe" by Helen Steiner Rice.

Launderville had discussion and tips of the many things one can do to get rid of clutter in their homes. Roll call was answered by members stating what each needed to dispose of to rid of clutter.

There was an interesting review of the Washington Regional Faith in Action program that is provided for both Benton and Washington counties, and their many projects of the volunteers for the organization. Also it was stated that the Ronald McDonald House can use toys for children of families that have other children beside the child in the hospital.

There was a discussion of upcoming events in the county -- Jam making on May 16, Fun Day at Maysville by the Maysville Extension Club, and the Benton County Fair will be Aug. 12-16.

Members recited the Homemaker's Creed to close the meeting.
