Monday, March 31

1:11 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Weston Loop for an animal call. The resident said she found two dogs in front of her house. Police picked up the dogs -- a tan male, mixed breed and a black and tan female mixed breed. They were taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

2:40 p.m. A resident of Schrader Road reported he left a cell phone on a table at Blackhawk Grill and when he returned to pick it up, it was missing.

7:17 a.m. Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on North Curtis Avenue involving vehicles driven by Daymond K. Bean, 25, Bella Vista, and Patrick Dougherty, 41, Bella Vista.

Tuesday, April 1

8:59 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Halleck Lane for an animal complaint. The resident said a black and brown dog had been hanging around his house for about a week. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

10:20 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Halleck Lane for an animal complaint involving a dog that was on his porch and wouldn't leave. The dog, a light brown dog, was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

4 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hickman Road for a mailbox which had been damaged by a garbage truck.

6:10 p.m. Police picked up a stray brown puppy at an apartment on Wade Lane and took it to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

11:02 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Raymond D. Russell, 52, Pea Ridge, for driving on a suspended driver's license and fictitious tags. He was released on citation. The passenger, Eddee May Hillhouse Sizemore, 42, Pea Ridge, was arrested for felony possession of meth or cocaine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thursday, April 3

12:30 p.m. Police cited Trey Wilkerson, 22, Pea Ridge, for dog at large when he picked up his dog from the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The dog had been picked up by police earlier that morning running loose around a neighborhood inside the city limits.

12:07 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wade Lane for a dog call. A puppy was found chained behind an apartment. The resident said he was only put outside for potty breaks. At 2:30 p.m. police were again dispatched to the residence for a verbal disturbance. One of the women said the puppy was left outside without food or water and she took water to it. The owner told her to leave it alone and the two women argued. The reporting party claimed the husband of one of the woman threatened her. All persons involved were warned to stay off their neighbor's property.

Friday, April 4

3:10 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle for a missing person call. The complainant reported her 33-year-old mother had left the previous evening and not returned. Police contacted both the Benton and Washington county jails and made other attempts to find the woman. A welfare BOLO (be on the lookout for) was issued. The woman called police at 6:12 a.m. saying she was fine.

Monday, April 6

9:23 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle for a dog bite complaint. According to the report, a female was bitten on the leg and the ambulance was dispatched. The woman who was bitten told police she was riding her bicycle when the dog came running at her and bit her on the leg. According to police records, there have been numerous complaints against this dog and it has been impounded numerous times. By the owner's admission, according to police records, the Bentonville District Court "declared the dog to be a hazardous or vicious animal after a previous dog bite report" and restrictions were placed on keeping the dog. The owner of the dog, Ben Martinez, 46, Pea Ridge, was not able to provide proof of rabies vaccinations and no tags were displayed on the dog's collar. Martinez was cited for vicious animal and no city tags and the dog was impounded at the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
