Pea Ridge Mule Jump

The 25th annual Pea Ridge Mule Jump will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 12. Events will include halter class mule events, barrel races, fl ag races, pole bending and mule jumping.

Admission is $5 for ages 12 and up, $2 for ages 6-12 and free for children under 5. The mule jump will be held in the old Blackhawk Stadium.

Booth rentals are available for purchase. Non-profi t booths are $30 and can set up their booth after 6 p.m.

on Friday, Oct. 11. Regular vendor booths can be purchased for $50 and may set up their booth the morning of Oct. 12. All vehicles must be moved out of the midway by 8 a.m. Both types of booths include a reserved area to set up booth and four vendor passes. More vendorpasses can be purchased for $3 any day prior to the day of the event. Each vendor is responsible for setting up and tearing down your own equipment and clean up. A canopy is advised.

There are multiple types of sponsorships available. Pro sponsor can be purchased for amounts of $200, $550, or $1,050. There are 13 classes available to sponsor and these sponsorships can be bought for $65.

The 3 Negel Hall Memorial awards sponsorship can be purchased for $500. Any donations are welcome.

A DASH to Remember run/walk slated

The DASH to Remember will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the RyanMondy Memorial T-ball field, Weston Street, Pea Ridge. Participants will receive a T-shirt, guaranteed if registered by Sept. 14, and a goody bag for the fi rst 100 5k registrations.

Entry fees include $15 for the 1 mile for kids 12 and under,$20 for the 5k for all ages and the 1 mile adults if registration is postmarked by Sept. 14 and $25 for the 5k if registration is postmarked after Sept. 14.

Proceeds benefi t the Ryan Mondy DASH memorial scholarship endowment, a special scholarship through the Arkansas Community Foundation in Little Rock. The scholarship is designed to assist graduating seniors whose lives have been a◊ected by cancer. Registration forms can be found at Rush Running in Bentonville or at www.

Ridge Rockers Rumble

A dinner and dance will be held from 6:30- 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Pea Ridge High School sponsored by the Ridge Rockers Square Dance Club. The dinner will be pulled pork, brisket, turkey, coleslaw, cheesy potatoes and baked beans.

Not only will there be square dancing called by to national callers,Wade Driver and Flippo, but also a silent auction and a ra◊e for a $200 gas card and a 50/50 pot drawing.

The Rumble draws dancers from a wide area. To learn to square dance, come check out some beautiful square dance outfits and see a large group of people having a great time!

The entrance fee is $10.
