Pot grown in nursery

A couple was arrested and their baby picked up by a representative of the Department of Human Services after Benton County Sheri◊’s deputies found marijuana growing in their home Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Deputies found a “really sophisticated … expensive grow” with 16 marijuana plants in a baby’s bedroom in a residence at 620 Eagle Crest in Pea Ridge,according to Deputy Keshia Guyll, public information officer for Benton County Sheri◊’s O◊ce.

Matthew Lancaster Coleman,22, and Emerald Coleman, 20, of Pea Ridge, were arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance schedule VI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drugparaphernalia with intent to manufacture controlled substance and second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. The couple’s3-month-old infant was turned over to the Department of Human Services, Guyll said.

Deputies received information that led to them getting a search warrant, Guyll said.
