12:41 a.m. A suspicious fire was reported in a hay barn on property northeast of Lee Town Road/Greer Street.

Benton County Fire Marshal Marc Trolinger investigated the fire and said the cause was not accidental. Police are assisting in the investigation.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

1:41 a.m. A residential burglary no longer in progress was reported at a residence on Spruce Street. The owner of the residence said she came home and found her front door unlocked and slightly open and the back door kicked in and open. She reported the only thing missing was cash.

7:59 a.m. Police were notified of an abandoned vehicle that appeared to have been in a wreck on Blair Circle.

The owner, Jacob King, 20, Garfield, was contacted. He told police he had been at a party, had too much to drink and wrecked the car somewhere onLee Town Road around 2 a.m. He said when he returned to find the vehicle, he couldn’t find it. The information was passed to Benton County Sheriff’s Oÿ ce.

9:15 p.m. A physical disturbance at an apartment on Kings Lane was reported.The resident stated her boyfriend was drunk and getting loud and she asked him to leave, but he refused.

Neither wanted to press charges.

9:14 p.m. Police were notified of a burglary in progress at a residence on Coler Drive.The female resident of the house reported that a man walked into the house, then turned around and left.

She told police she was home alone and did not know the man. Nothing was reported missing.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

10 a.m. Police were notified of a dog at large on Washburn Drive; two dogs were found but police were about to catch only one which was taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

6:25 p.m. A small black female dog was picked up off Lynn Drive; the dog was taken to Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. It had no tags.

Thursday, Aug. 29

3:40 p.m. An employee of EZ Mart reported a gas drive off by a male driving a green dually pick-up truck headed southbound on S. Curtis Ave.Value of gasoline was $33.

Friday, Aug. 30

10:44 p.m. While on routine patrol, police found a door kicked in on a building on the old Blackhawk football stadium.

11:37 p.m. While on patrol, police found two persons sitting outside First Baptist Church; they were advised to leave.

Saturday, Aug. 31

3:37 a.m. Police were dispatched to an agency assist at Little Flock for a welfare check on North 22nd Street.

9:29 p.m. As a result of a traÿ c stop at It’ll Do and East McNelly roads, the driver, Zachary Meroney, 18, Pineville, Mo., was arrested on a Rogers warrant and transported to Rogers.

11:07 p.m. A resident of Rogers, while visiting at a residence on Barnes Circle, reported he received harassing text messages. The incident was turned over to Rogers police as the messagesoriginated from Rogers.

Sunday, Sept. 1

1:19 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on North Davis Street for a resident who had captured a opossum in a live trap; police relocated the possum.

6:22 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on O.D. Bancroft for an agency assist involving a 9-year-old boy who, while playing in pool, got stuck in ladder and stopped breathing; he was pulled from pool and transported by ambulance.

10:51 p.m. Police were dispatched toWhite Oak Station as a store clerk needed to be transported to hospital;

police stood by until another employee arrived.

11:07 p.m. Police were dispatched to apartments at Kings Lane in reference to 911 hangup calls; police were unable to determine location of origin of calls.

Monday, Sept. 2

1:48 a.m. As a result of a traÿ c stop atWade Lane and North Curtis Avenue, police arrested Christopher Minard, 21, Rogers, for DWI and charged with speeding.
