Blessing of the Animals

Bible Study for Women

A women’s bible study class - Mark, the On-the-Go Gospel - is taught by Laura Macfarlan from 9-11 a.m. every Thursday, through Dec. 12, at First Baptist Church. A nursery is provided and also children’s classes for preschool and elementary ages. Cost is $18 with partial scholarships available. Life Chain

The annual Life Chain will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 1:45 to 3 p.m. in front of 2B’s Auto Sales on U.S. Highway 412. The event is a prayerful vigil where Christians from all denominations come together to pray for our nation and for an end to abortion around the world. For more information call 524-0272.

Bible study

Siloam Springs Area Women’s and Children’s Bible Study will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays at Community Christian Fellowship. The study this year is Gideon by Priscilla Shirer. Register online at womeninministry.tumblr.com/ Springdale. In order to offer quality KidsTime, a $5 per week fee will help pay for teachers. Community Choir Opportunity

JOY Choir at First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs is a fellowship of senior adults who enjoy singing, laughing and serving Jesus in ministry with others. The choir sings most of their concerts in living centers, senior citizens centers and church gatherings. No preenrollment is necessary - just show up to join. JOY Choir meets weekly on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the choir room at First Baptist Church and is led by Reece Watson, Pastor of Worship and Music at FBC. Living Beyond Yourself Bible study

First Baptist Church will hold a Living Beyond Yourself/Fruits of the Spirit Beth Moore Bible Study from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursdays, through Nov. 28, in the church parlor. Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary’s

Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church provides free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the last Friday of each month. The homeless, needy, elderly, unemployed, lonely and any families with children out of school for the summer are invited to the free home cooked meal. Volunteers needed

The Community Storehouse, a ministry of Overdrive Church that provides necessities to families in need, is looking for volunteers for the following times: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Volunteers will meet with guests, enter information into a database, sort through and process donations and make deliveries to those who are unable to come to the Storehouse. Other tasks may be done on an asneeded basis. If interested, call Cassandra Whitaker at 479-228-2534.

Watts Bible Study
