Adopt an angel

For the past 19 years, the Pea Ridge Area Ministerial Alliance has put together an Angel Tree, providing a way to give Christmas gifts to children in the area who might not otherwise receive Christmas gifts.

This year, the Angel Trees will be set up at the Community First and Arvest banks. Cut out paper angels will tell a child’s age, grade, gender, size, and gift idea.

All other information is kept confidential. The angels are selected by people from the community who buy gifts which the Alliance will coordinate and have ready for pick up.

This program is limited to residents in the Pea Ridge area. For a child/children to be included, they must be 12 years or younger, and not already receiving gifts from another organization such as Caring and Sharing program.

Forms are available at First Baptist Church and must be returned no later than Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Packages must be picked up on Saturday, Dec. 14, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Mt.

Vernon Presbyterian Church.

Organizers ask that parents and guardians provide the Social Security number of each child on the place provided on the application form. This is required so forms can be cross referenced with other agencies to provide the best care for all children in northwest Arkansas. All information will be kept in strictest confi dence.
