LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Cost too much

Ambulance service, yes, we need! But to raise it to $100 from $40 is too much and for it to go part for a retirement fund for the EMT.

Yes, they went to school for their license. So did the mechanic, the carpenter and electricians. The small company they worked for didn’t have a retirement fund for them.

My retirement fund goes to pay bills, food and taxes.

My retirement fund is my Social Security If they raise the fee to $100 , and in three years it will go to $125. It will never stop. You pay the fee, with no insurance, you pay no ambulance bill. But, if you have insurance, they charge the insurance.

I pay to have that insurance about $400 per month and I pay a fee for ambulance service, too. So really, I pay twice. That is not right.

How did we get put into this ?

This service goes from Gateway to Avoca. That is 15 miles long, that is three times as most cities. So, why should my retirement fund go to pay for someone else retirement?
