Police: Man raped woman at hotel

FAYETTEVILLE - Police arrested a former Pea Ridge man Saturday after they said he raped a woman at the Value Place Hotel in Springdale on Wednesday.

Alfonzo Williams, 29, faces a felony charge in connection with rape and misdemeanor failure to pay fines and cost. He also faces charges from another department.

A police report listed Williams’ address as 1893 Hayden Road, Pea Ridge, but the Washington County Detention Center listed his address at 2734 Arroyo St., Fayetteville.

According to an arrest report, Williams met a 37-year-old woman at the Value Place Hotel, 397 Dixie Industrial Drive, for a job interview.

The two had drinks and the woman told police she “passed out,” according to the report.

Police said the woman awoke to Williams raping her. She told him “no” and pushed him o◊of her before calling her boyfriend for help, according to the report.

The boyfriend and a hotel security manager found the woman in Williams’ room, according to the report.

Police said the woman was crying and holding a bloodstained towel.

Williams said the woman was “just drunk” and he “didn’t do anything wrong,” according to the report.

Police said Williams then offered the hotel security manager $1,000 to not call police.

Williams was in the Washington County Detention Center on Monday.

Charges from Benton County, Bentonville, Prairie Grove, West Fork and Springdale with bonds of $25,000, $905, $540 and $1,967.5 were listed Monday.
