Suspect sought in White Oak robbery

A man wrestled with the attendant at White Oak station on Jan. 25 after he was confronted for stealing cigarettes.

At approximately 3:55 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, a white male, wearing a gray Arkansas Razorbacks hooded sweatshirt, attempted to steal several cartons of cigarettes from the White Oak Station convenience store at 139 N. Curtis Ave., according to police.

The suspect was confronted by an employee of the business, then fled the scene. The suspect was seen on camera getting into the backseat of a red four-door passenger car believed to be a Chevy Cobalt or similar compact car.

One other person is seen in the backseat of the vehicle during the incident.

Photos of the subject were taken from the surveillance recording. Police are asking the public for help in locating the suspect who is known to frequent the White Oak Station in Pea Ridge; however, at this time, his name is not known.

The person depicted in the images is wanted on robbery charges by the Pea Ridge Police Department. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, the identification or location of the suspect, or the occupants of the vehicle, contact the Pea Ridge Police Department at 451-8220.
