Jacqueline Laird of Springdale was awarded the Bill Ferrell Endowed Scholarship in Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas. She is the daughter of Barbara and John Laird and studying toward a master’s degree in athletic training. She has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and is a Har-Ber High School graduate.

Chris Nichols of Springdale received the $1,500 Rob Jordan PTA Scholarship at NorthWest Arkansas Community College, where he studies in the physical therapy assistant program. This is the third recipient of the scholarship established by Sarah Beth Phillips, an academic advisor at the school in Bentonville since 2008. The scholarship is named in honor of a physical therapist who helped her. She had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 18 months.

Joseph Gerke of Fayetteville, a senior studying civil engineering at the University of Arkansas, was awarded the Joe M.

Steele and Hardy W. Croxton Memorial Scholarship by the Beaver Water District.

Annaclaire Presley Hall, a chemistry student at Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss., was named to the Who’s Who Among Students at American Colleges and Universities. She is the daughter of Nora and Jim Hall of Springdale.

Brandon Jansen of Springdale, a mathematics major, was named to the Fall 2012 semester dean’s list at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo, which requires at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Bradley Rogers of Springdale graduated in December from the Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in professional development from its College of Arts and Professions.

Stewart Cox of Fayetteville graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., with a master’s degree in photography.
