Christmas Parade

The Christmas parade is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The line-up will start at 5 p.m. behind Community First Bank. Judging will be at 5:15 p.m.

The route will travel up North Curtis Avenue to downtown and end at the Intermediate School grounds with Santa arriving on a fi retruck.

The theme is “Beautiful Star.” Judging categories include Best Children’s, Most Religious, Best Equestrian and Best Theme. There will be a $25 cash prize.

The lighting of the Christmas lights will take place after Santa arrives.

Refreshments will be served at City Hall and the live nativity will be at the Intermediate School grounds.

Bake sale set

A bake sale is set for 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Marvin’s IGA parking lot by Westside Baptist youth.

Funds raised will be used to support the World Vision 30-hour famine event, as well as the general youth fund.

Santa comes to library

Santa will be at the Pea Ridge Library to read to children at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Autumn Place open house

Autumn Place at the Village will host a Holiday Open House from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

The northwest Arkansas community is invited to drop in for refreshments, fellowship and a tour. The Village is located at 190 Wade Lane, Pea Ridge, Ark.

Giving Gallery slated

The fourth annual Giving Gallery will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.

All items in the children’s area cost a dollar or less.

After shopping the items chosen are then wrapped and labeled for free.

While waiting for their children to complete their shopping, the adults, too, can shop.

The Giving Gallery is accepting donations for the children’s area and the adult area. Nice items, suitable for children purchasing as Christmas gifts would be greatly appreciated.

The Giving Gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, located at 351 Lee Town Road.
