ElderShare off ers help

ElderShare is a unique new support group for people who would appreciate a chance to share their thoughts and feelings as they meet the losses and challenges of aging.

It is held from 10- 11 a.m, on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at its sponsoring church United Lutheran, 100 Cooper Road in Bella Vista.

The group will be facilitated by Brandi Schneider, a licensed social worker and coordinator of Aging Services with the Schmieding Center.

Treats will be furnished by Concordia of Bella Vista.

Are there changes in your advancing years that you are fi nding challenging to deal with? Are you sensing a loss of position or purpose since you retired? Is your social life di◊erent as friends have moved away? Are you facing giving up your home or your driver’s license?

Have family relationships changed? Maybe you are feeling a little “down” because you are losing more and more old and dear friends?

ElderShare is open to both males and females in Bella Vista and surrounding communities.

Advanced reservations are requested, as space is limited. There is no charge.

If you want to share or just listen in a caring and confidential setting, call the church at 855-1325.
