Tuesday, Aug. 6

3:35 p.m. A resident on Wood Street reported a 6-year-old boy missing;

multiple oÿ cers responded and searched the surrounding area. The child was found running south on North Davis Street and returned safely to his parents.

11:29 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Greer Street for a physical disturbance. As a result, Matthew Edward Spiezio, 39, Pea Ridge, was arrested for third-degree domestic assault, first-degree terroristic threatening and refusal to submit to arrest and booked into the Benton County Jail.

11 p.m. Police were dispatched to a traÿc stop at Ark. Hwy. 94 and Sugar Creek Road with a vehicle occupied with six people at which a BCSO deputy was reportedly at gunpoint with the people and was not answering his radio. Four of the six people had 19 warrants between them, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a methamphetamine lab were confiscated from the vehicle. One of the passengers, Michael Paxton, 28, Decatur, had a warrant out of Pea Ridge.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

9:40 p.m. A resident of Conrad Street reported two German shepherds in his back yard chasing his cats. One of the dogs had on a city tag; the owner was found and returned. The owner was not home, police said they would cite the owner later.

Thursday, Aug. 8

5:02 p.m. Police cited John W. Nessmith, 32, Pea Ridge, for two dogs at large and two counts of no city dog tags.

6 p.m. A resident of Park Circle reported theft by deception involving via a phone call and theft of $6,200.

8:39 p.m. A resident of North Harvey Wakefield reported catching a stray dog. The dog, a white spaniel, had no tags or collar. It was picked up and takento the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

10:03 p.m. A resident of Fayetteville reported she had arrived at her exhusband’s residence on Weston Loop to pick up her sons for their weekend visitation. She reported fighting with the male and said he would not let her have the boys. The man reported he had initially given his permission, which was ordered by the courts, but changed his mind because he believed the woman was either on drugs or alcohol. Police performed a sobriety test on the woman, who was sober. The man refused to release the 8- and 9-year-old boys. Since it was Thursday, and visitation was to begin on Friday, police did not force him to release them and the woman left the property.

Friday, Aug. 9

8:55 p.m. A traÿc stop on Pickens Road resulted in the arrest of Cory Scott Lawson, 20, Garfield, for speeding 75 mph in a 40 mph; endangering the welfare of a minor (he had a 16-yearold female passenger); and reckless driving. His vehicle was released to the registered owner and the passenger was released to her aunt.

Saturday, Aug. 10

12:45 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Baker Street involving someone ringing the doorbell and running away. The male reported it has happened repeatedly although this is the first time he reported it to police.

He said he once chased the youths, who

ran through a field and jumped over

a fence.

3:13 a.m. An anonymous caller com

plained that there was too much noise

coming from an apartment on Frost

Street. Police spoke to the resident, who

agreed to cease the party.

1:42 p.m. Police received a report of a

one-vehicle accident involving a vehicle

driven by Karen Ross, 71, Pea Ridge,

which struck and damaged the stop

sign atVan Dorn and Asboth streets.

4:30 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was

reported on Hickory Street involving

vehicles driven by Sade T. Freeland, 18,

Maryland, and a parked vehicle owned

by Richard D. Smit, Bryant, Ark.

9:24 p.m. A traÿc stop resulted in the

arrest of Bobby Periman, 29, Rogers,

for DWI, second offense; careless and

prohibited driving; and second-degree

endangering the welfare of a minor.

10:30 p.m. A stray dog was picked up

on St. Clair Street.

11:30 p.m. While on patrol on Baker

Street, police saw an adult male in the

middle of the street yelling at two white

males. The man, who had previously

reported someone ringing his doorbell

late at night and running off, said he

saw four youths “staking out the house”

so he ran into the street and tackled

one. Two ran away. While police were

driving to the house of one of the boys

who ran away, they were dispatched

to a possible disturbance at a residence

on Smith Street. As a result of the inves

tigation, Darren Gould, 39, Pea Ridge,

was cited for disorderly conduct.

Sunday, Aug. 11

1:10 a.m. A resident of Kings Lane

reported unauthorized use of a mo

tor vehicle. The woman said she lent

her vehicle to a man who was not

answering her phone calls and had not

returned the vehicle. Police issued a Be

OnThe Lookout for the vehicle, which

was also entered into ACID. By 1:30

p.m., the reporting party called, saying

the vehicle was returned and she did

not want to press charges.

8:59 a.m. Police received a report

of two small dogs running loose in thearea of South Harvey Wakefield Drive and D.J. Duvall Drive. Police searched, but were unable to locate the dogs.

6:59 p.m. Police were dispatched to Big Sugar Golf Course for a report of trespassing. As a result of the investigation, police cited Charlie Crawford, 53, Pea Ridge, for ATV on roadway and a warning for trespassing on private property.

Monday, Aug. 12

9 a.m. A resident of Schrader Road reported her vehicle license plate was stolen.

9:45 a.m. Residents of Charles Streetreported their 14-year-old son is not listening to them.

3:05 p.m. Police picked up a stray dog on Lynn Drive.The white terrier mix was taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

3:40 p.m. A resident of South Curtis Avenue reported a dog was chasing chickens on her property. the owner of the dog, Keith Richardson, 41, Pea Ridge, was cited for dog at large.

8:49 p.m. As a result of a traÿ c stop, police arrested Douglas James, 50, Pea Ridge, by Pea Ridge Police for DWI, refusal to submit, driving on a suspended driver’s license and failure to register.
