Granny’s Quilts of Love met at 9:30 a.m. July 16 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. Francis Cameron led the group in prayer.

We have reached 16,000 quilts made and donated to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. What a great accomplishment to all the ladies for their hard work.

A huge thank you to all.

We are ready for our 10th annual Dinner and Auction to be held Aug. 24, at the Pea Ridge High School cafeteria. The menu will be pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, homemade dessert and drink. The dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m. with the auction starting at 6 p.m.

The price for adults is $6and children $4; children 2 years of age and younger are free.

There will also be a drawing for $1,000 cash prize and a Alfresco Artison Grill valued at $1,499. Ra◊e tickets will be sold for these two prizes. The ra◊e tickets will be $1 each or six for $5. The ra◊e tickets are available at Arvest Bank in Pea Ridge and at the door.

Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 20 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1300 N. Davis, Pea Ridge.

Plans for the dinner and auction will be fi nalized.

Gospel Singing Slated

A Gospel Singing will be held 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug.

17, at Derry Camp’s Auction Barn, 980 E. Pickens Road.

Bring a light snacks, fi nger foods or dessert. Everyone is invited to come and hear old gospel singing. Bring your instrument and join in or just sit and listen. For information, call Jo Jones at 640-6007 or Sharon Camp at 451-1664.
