Pea Ridge Middle School and High School band members participated in the Region VI Solo and Ensemble contest held Friday, April 5, at Harrison High School. Six eighth graders from the middle school band participated, including: Levi Peronia and Paige McGaughy, First Division rating of “Superior”, percussion duet; Dominique Burwell and Kevin Small, First Division rating of “Superior”, flute duet; Miranda Kelly, Second Division rating of “Excellent”, trumpet solo; Dominique Burwell, Second Division rating of “Excellent”, flute solo; and Jacob Boyle, Second Division rating of “Excellent”, tuba solo.
There were eight members of the high school band that participated, including: Cody Swigart, Wyatt Garrett, Alex Williams, Aaron Jackson and Hunter Chestnut, percussion ensemble, First Division rating of “Superior”; Tyler Shelton and Alan Sicairos, Second Division rating of “Excellent”, trombone duet; and Casey Jarding, Second Division rating of “Excellent”, euphonium solo.
