Pea Ridge Lady ’Hawks beat Gentry in a home game played Monday, April 1.

Junior Jerika Schooley got her second conference win. She pitched a complete game striking out six and allowing four earned runs. She threw strikes and allowed her defense to work behind her.

Offensive highlights included: Auti Galvan, 2-3 with 2 runs scored; Kendall Young, RBI double in the second; Taylor Winn, 2 RBI single in the third;

and Stephanie Wood, RBI single in the sixth.

“Gentry is a good team, weplayed well and took advantage of their mistakes,” said head coach Josh Reynolds. “Main thing is we improved to 2-0 in conference. Our kids competed well all game.” Pea Ridge 5, Ozark 3

Pea Ridge Lady ’Hawks beat Ozark in a road game played Friday, April 5.

Jerika Schooley pitched seven innings allowing only three hits.

“We got a great pitching performance from Jerika. We played routine defense behind her and that helped build her confidence in the circle,” said head coach Josh Reynolds.

“When we took the lead in thesixth after Taylor Winn’s homerun, Jerika did a great job shutting the door on them.”

Offensive highlights included: Kendall Young, 3-4 with 2 runs scored and two stolen bases;

Jerika Schooley, 2-4, run scored and RBI; and Taylor Winn, 3-run homerun.

According to coach Reynolds, “We have a big week next week with the three conference games in a row. This week will help set seedings for district tournament in a couple weeks. We need to continue to play well.”

The Lady ’Hawks’ next game will be Thursday vs. Farmington.

All games start at 5 p.m.
