Library Notes: Many books are for sale at library

— What beautiful weather we are having - just makes me want to be outside working in the yard, or sitting on the porch with a good book. Neither of which I will be able to do for a while. Too many irons in the fire!

We had such an amazing week - met many new people which is always nice. One of our new friends donated a large number of Christian fiction books - most in like new condition. We had copies of many of them on the shelves so the duplicates are for sale. Because they are in such good condition, these will be priced at $1.

So get down to the library quickly before they are gone.

Recently a 7-year-old girl told me she had written a book and she wanted me to read it. After her momhad taken the book to be bound she brought it by the library. It is a really cute little story. I will have the book at the library for a short while. Be sure to ask to read it when you come in. Who knows, you may be reading the first work of a future best selling author!

In addition to all the donated Christian Fiction books that were donated the library will soon be receiving the following books that I ordered last week: “Fool Me Twice” by Robert B. Parker; “Zoo” by James Patterson; “Low Pressure” by Sandra Brown; and a new Jack Reacher Novel by Lee Child. “Wanted Man”should be available within two weeks. “Mad River” by John Sandford and “NYPD Red” by James Patterson will be released in early October and are on backorder. In addition, orders were placed for additional Christian and general fiction books, romance and mysteries.

A collection box will be in the library for Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education and the UPC Codes from Best Choice brand products for the Pea Ridge schools. Even if you don’t have children or grandchildren in school, your donation of these will be much appreciated.

These items will allow the district to stretch their budget a little further.

A book sale is still in the works for Mule Jump Saturday. Plans are now to have it on the sidewalk infront of the library unless it rains. We are working on securing another location in case of rain. Signs will be posted. There will be lots and lots of books available.

While supplies last copies of “The Pea Ridge Community Library Cookbook” are on sale for $5 each.

Would make a great gift for friends, family, or co-workers. There are lots of really good recipes in the book.

See you at the library!
