Ramsey to be president

PEA RIDGE — Joshua Ramsey will serve another year as president of the Pea Ridge School Board following election of officers Monday night.

Following discussion as to whether to continue a process begun recently of board members rotating through the various positions or to return to the simple election of officers, board members nominated, then elected, Ramsey as president, Jenny Wood as vice president and Ann Cato as secretary.

Darin Wright, formerly vice president, declined a nomination to continue as vice president. He and Sandy Button are both board members.

In other business, the board heard a presentation from Cathy Allen, former Rogers School Board member, and current member of the Arkansas School Board Association. They set up a time for training for Allen to assist them in earning their state-mandated training hours.
