Miniature mule comes to town

PEA RIDGE — A new attraction at the 24th annual Mule Jump will be Billie, a miniature mule, from Siloam Springs.

Billie, a 4-year-old mule, stands 34 inches tall. She will be shown in both the halter and jumping classes, according to her owner, Carrie Thurman.

Thurman, ownwer ofPDF/CrossRoads training stables, said she has been raising horses for years and recently began raising miniature horses and mules.

“Billie is very sensitiveand smart,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to coming to the Pea Ridge Mule Jump,” Thurman said, who said she has attended the jump, but not brought her mules before.
