ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SETS HAM & BEAN DINNER; BLACKHAWK CHAIRS PROJECT

— The annual Ham & Bean Dinner and Pie Auction sponsored by the Pea Ridge High School Alumni Association is set for 5-7 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Pea Ridge Middle School cafeteria. Dinners are $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-10 and free for children 4 and under.

The Pie Auction will begin at 6 p.m. with Derry Camp as auctioneer.

The annual fall Dinner and Pie Auction is a fundraiser for the Alumni Association, raising scholarship funds for Pea Ridge High School graduating seniors for 2013.

The Alumni Associationis also selling Blackhawk chairs. The sturdy, folding chairs, made by Kijaro, feature the Pea Ridge School colors and are emblazoned with the Pea Ridge Blackhawk mascot. They are currently being sold at home football games and other local events. Also, chairs are on display and may be purchased for $30 at the Arvest Bank lobby and at The Times newspaper office in Pea Ridge. Proceeds from the Blackhawk Chairs Project benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund for this year’s Pea Ridge High School graduating seniors.
