LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

— Moore is a breath of fresh air

I may have to “hold my nose” when I vote for some candidates this November, but when I cast my ballot for Mark Moore it will be like a breath of fresh air in the sunshine. I do miss his columns in this paper, but maybe once the election is over he can get back to them.

I know that most people around here just vote for the Republican, but Mark is running as an Independent and he has a good reason why. The reason we are disgusted with our legisla- tors at all levels is because we don’t feel like they rep- resent us anymore. They represent the interests of their party, not the folks back home.

Didn’t the Lord say “you can’t serve two masters’? It’s true. They can’t represent the folks back home and the party in DC. It’s time we took our government back starting with the legislature which is supposed to be the branch closest to the peo- ple. Getting Mark in there is a good first step.

Let’s bring this state leg- islative seat home to Pea Ridge. Count me as one vote for Mark Moore for State Representative.

Moore qualified for office

To the editor,

Mark Moore is running for state representative, and I cannot think of a man more qualified to represent this area than him. Mark is a devoted family man with strong Christian values and an enthusiasm for public ser- vice that dates back decades.

Mark truly believes that the government is best which governs least, and he has worked for many candi- dates over the past decades who were dedicated to get-

ting the government off our backs. Mark has espoused in- tegrity first with every can- didate he has ever worked for. He now wants to serve our area more directly and is working to get elected after working for others in many conservative campaigns in the past.

Mark has a variety of ex- periences in his career that have prepared him for public office. He has a computer degree from the University of Arkansas. He then served as an officer in the Navy

for several years. Mark then taught public school for many years. Finally, he entered the business world. All of these have given him a rich and varied career that has allowed him to see life from many people’s perspec- tive. He will use this to be- come an effective represen- tative of our part of the state.

Mark has a beautiful wife and two children. He attends a local church and is active in community events. He graduated locally and has lived in the area nearly all his life. Please consider him strongly this November.

Thank you,

MIKE HARROD
