’Til Next Time

Did I meet an angel in disguise?

Sunday at church it was so good to hear about everyone’s family dinner and how much everyone had to be thankful for. We had ours on Sunday before because all the married grandsons have so many other places they need to go. There were two new great-grandsons here for the first time; one of them 4-days-old. Also, had another here due in March. Every time I get a chance to hold a baby, I would look up into a barrage of cameras. I hadn’t thought about it being a special occasion; made mefeel my age!

I had a couple of happenings this week that some may call coincidences, but angel-in-disguise comes to my mind and it gave me goose bumps. More to be thankful for!

My back side was so relieved when I climbed down off the bleachers Friday and announced thatI was never going to sit on them again! I failed to mention that there would be new ones.

Daffodils are breaking through the ground and Mabel Miser’s forsythia is leafing out. Hey guys, have you forgotten about December, January and February?

We keep Otto Sells, Millie Peters and Chris Glass in our prayers, and Carl Yates is feeling so much better to a pace maker.

Brightwater’s Thanksgiving Dinner was a great success of good food and fellowship. Betty Weston reports over 80 were served.

We had fried potatoes with onions for dinner Sunday and it hit the spot after all the heavy meals we’d eaten.

Instead of “I’d walk a mile for a camel,” I’d walk a mile for an Almond Joy candy bar!

’Til next time!
