Annual Giving Gallery slated for Dec. 8

Pea Ridge is a community that is good about giving. In a small rural town, examples are seen every week of people helping others in time of need. The congregation at the Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church has seen a need and is working towards helping young people during the holiday season.

Starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, the third Annual Giving Gallery will open at the church. Members of the church and the community have collected items that can be purchased by children for their family and friends at a very low cost. With help from parents, the children make out their shopping list and get started shopping. All items in the children’s area cost $1 or less. After shopping, the items chosen are thenwrapped and labeled for free.

While waiting for their children to complete their shopping, the adults can shop, too. There is an area of yard sale items, crafts and baked goods.

All are welcome to come and participate in this event. The Giving Gallery is accepting donations for the children’s area and the adult area. Nice items, suitable for children purchasing as Christmas gifts, would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a donation or have questions, please feel free to call Chrissie Doyle at 619-6425, Judy Fortner at 359-3141, or Ruthie Jackson at 435-5057.

The Giving Gallery will be open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, located at 351 Lee Town Rd.
