Adopt an angel

Now in its 20th year, the Angel Tree project has been blessing children 12 years of age and younger by providing gifts through the generosity of area residents. The project is sponsored by the Pea Ridge Ministerial Alliance, according to chairman Al Fowler.

Angel trees will be set up at both banks - Arvest and Community First - on which are hung paper angels with the age, gender, grade, size and gift idea for children.

To register for Angel Tree, fill out a form available at City Hall, both banks and First Baptist Church. The forms must be turned in by Nov. 28, but sooner is better, Fowler said.

Persons shopping for the AngelTree recipients must return gifts by Dec. 5 as they will be picked up by parents for the children on Dec. 8.

For people who can’t shop, or simply prefer to give a donation, tax deductible donations can be made to Pea Ridge Area Ministerial Alliance and designated to the Angel Tree, Fowler said.

“We always have volunteers willing to shop,” he said. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 46, Pea Ridge, 72751 or dropped off at Arvest Bank.

“Angel Tree is an excellent opportunity to help a child from the Pea Ridge area with Christmas,” Fowler said.
