— Johnny Clifford Danner, Sr.

Johnny Clifford Danner, Sr., 75, of Garfield, died Tuesday, May 22, at MercyMedical Center.

He was born Nov. 21, 1936, at Davidson, Ark., to Christopher Mose Dannerand Allie Pearl Rippetoe Danner.

He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in Korea. He was a pastor for 40 years, the past 15 years at Skyline Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in Garfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three grandsons, Bo, Jonathan and John; one brother, Sam Danner; and one sister, Cleta Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Danner, of the home; four sons, John Danner, Jr. and wife, Kristy, of Carson City, Nevada, Kenneth Danner and wife, Donita, of San Antonio, Texas, Carl Sklavos and wife, Beth, of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Kevin Danner and wife, Stephanie, of Pea Ridge; five daughters, Bobbi Jo Danner and husband, Wayne Dexter, Cynthia Powell and husband, Billy, all of Lincoln, MediaShockley and husband, Linus Sr., of Garfield, Trina Steel and husband, Truman, of Berryville, and Christinia McGuire and husband, Michael, of Heber Springs; one sister, ReableHaislett of Van Couver, Wash.; 42 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was 5 - 7 p.m.

Friday, May 25, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Service was at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Pea Ridge Church of the Nazarene.

Burial was at 10 a.m. at the VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville, with full military honors by American Legion Post Number 9.

Vassar Verdell Hoyle, Jr.

Vassar Verdell Hoyle, Jr., 81, of Bentonville, died Monday, May 21, at MercyMedical Center in Rogers. He was born Aug. 9, 1930, at Poteau, Okla., to Vassar VerdellHoyle Sr. and Annie Laura Palmer Hoyle.

He was married to Olivia Mae Haas for almost 50 years, until her death in 1993. He was a minister for 60 years, serving in churches in Madil, Okla., Cherryville, Van Buren, Springfield, Centerton, Decatur, Rogers, McGhee, and Warren, and was chaplain for Springfield, Mo., Desha County and Bradley County Arkansas Police. He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal and was honorably discharged in 1948. He enjoyed mowing, shooting guns and playing dominos.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lattie and Wallace Hoyle; and two sisters, Louise Hargrove and Kathryn Gueis.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Smith and husband, Gary, of Bentonville; three grandchildren, Gary Smith II, Amanda Howell and Matthew Smith.

Visitation was 6 - 8 p.m.

Thursday at the funeral home.

Service was 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Western Hills Baptist Church in Bentonville, with pastor Rob Matney officiating.

Burial was at VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville with military honors.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Clifford Eugene Johnson

Clifford Eugene Johnson, 69, died on May 24, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born March 11, 1943, in Minneapolis, Kan., to Charles and Irene Johnson.

He was married to Lou Kay McMahon on Jan. 5, 1965, in Hebron, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Kay Johnson of the home; three daughters, Rose Robins and husband H.L. of Garfield, Ark., Connie Muniz of Pinellas Park, Fla., Pam Burchfiel andhusband Mark of Hill Air Force Base, Utah; one son, Roy Johnson of Batesville, Ark.; two brothers, Larry Johnson of Kansas, Dennis Johnson and wife Brenda of Mountain Home, Ark.;

11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a lifetime truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, sports and spending time with his family. He attended church at the Christian Church in LaCrosse, Kan.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Highfill, Ark.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Wichita, Kan.

Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.

Barbara Lee McCann

Barbara Lee McCann, 72, of Rogers, died May 22, 2012. She was born Sept. 19, 1939, in San Juan, Texas, to Jesse Hickman and Willie Lee McDonald Hickman.

She was united in marriage to Sidney “Wayne” McCann. She was a member of the Charity Baptist Church of Rogers, as well as an animal lover and supporter of firefighters and EMS.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne of Rogers; daughters, Denise Meeker and husband, Tony Bueno, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Karen Gaines and husband Mike, of Pea Ridge;

granddaughter, Jamie Gaines of Pea Ridge; and sisters, Annie Reynolds of Texas, Betsy (Dave) Weissinger of Wyoming, Sharon Conine of Washington.

The family has asked, that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the ASPCA.

Arrangements were by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.

Johnny Lee Noland

Johnny Lee Noland, 64, of Lowell, died May 24, 2012, in Rogers. He was born Aug. 30, 1947, in Rogers, to Andrew “Jack” and Anna “Faye” Pollock Noland.

He was a mechanic and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Bashaw Noland of the home; son, Michael Ray Noland and wife, Melanie, of Lowell;

two sisters, Susie DuFrene and Anna Moore, both of Lowell; two brothers, Jackie Noland of Garfield and Timmy Noland of Rogers;

two granddaughters, Caitlin and Alison Noland; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m.

Friday at Benton County Funeral Home.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Benton County Funeral Home with pastor David Dodson officiating.

Interment followed in the Hickory Creek Cemetery at Lowell.

Laura W. Reed

Laura W. Reed, 93, of Pea Ridge died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville. She was born Nov. 14, 1918, to Weaver and Hattie Belle (Merritt) Watkins in Lamar, Colo.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother;

was a Cub Scouts Den mother and member of the PTA; and was very active in church activities with Pea Ridge United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Reed; and one daughter-in-law, Linda Reed.

Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Reed, of the home; two daughters, Linda Flanary and husband Jerry of Watts, Okla., and Norene Weston and husband Richard of Pea Ridge; one son, Dannie Reed; one daughter-in-law, Theone Reed; one grandson, Jerry Wayne Flanary;

three granddaughters, Veronica Reed, Valeri Teela and Tina Teela Whitmore and husband Scott; and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob Reed, Tyler Reed, Stuart Ivie, Nicholas Teela, Anita Teela, Joe Powless and Shylo Whitmore.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
