LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Be frugal and free

— Benjamin Franklin wrote, “Creditors have better memories than debtors ... the borrower is a slave to the lender, and the debtor to the creditor, disdain the chain, preserve your freedom and maintain your independence, be industrious and free, be frugal and free.”

Your country is almost $16 trillion in debt and if the president has his way, it will keep going up. He will continue to borrow money from the Chinese and print more money. The money in your pocket, if you have any, will be worth less, and the price of everything will continue to go up. Our grandchildren will have lost he American dream because of this debt passed on to them.

Your country can’t afford another four years of this president. Help save America this November; please vote.
