PEA RIDGE — For an annual contribution of $30, the Pea Ridge Optimist Club will place a 3- by 5-foot American flag with a 10-foot metal pole curbside on the seven holidays days designated.
A metal sleeve will be installed 15 inches from the curb/edge of the road or from a mailbox, in which to place the flagpole.
Contributions will support community service projects for youth in the community, suchas a college scholarship, essay contests, oratorical contests and various Optimist projects and programs.
Registration forms being accepted for Pea Ridge pageants
Registration forms for Pea Ridge pageants will be accepted through June 11.
More contestants are needed for the 7- to 9-year-old and 10- to 12-year-old categories.
