Library Notes: New books ready to check out

— Is it just me or is time really flying? Even the weather seems like it is June already. But I am not complaining.

The meeting with the architect, the city building inspector and the board went really well last week.

The board members and I signed off on the final rendering. A meeting at the end of May with all of the above and the architects’ engineers and we will be ready to get started. We appreciate all the hard work that has taken place to get us this far.

I am always pleased when you all drop by to look at the architect’s rendering and to discuss the new building. We are doing our best to make it something you can be truly proud to say is your library.

We have talked for some time about hosting a book club and I hope that comes to fruition once we are settled in our new home.

There will be a room to meet and even have refreshments!

I was able to get to Barnes and Noble over the weekend and pick up some children’s books, as well as some new releases for adults including “Wind through the Keyhole: A Dark Tower Novel” by Stephen King. You readers are really keeping me on my toes trying to keep up with you!

Stop by this week to check out the quilt that will be raffled for the librarybuilding fund. The quilt was made by a very dear friend and tickets are $1 each or six for $5. We hope to be able to place the quilt in other businesses in the city so everyone can have an opportunity to get a ticket.

See you at the library!
