’Til Next Time: It’s hard to diet

— Why is it that when I start to pay some attention to my calorie intake, that every color picture, T.V. ad and magazine layout is full of scrumptious-looking dishes? I’m also noticing how many recipes are calling for caramelized onions. Even that sounds good!

The mushrooms are mushrooming, they tell me, but I haven’t been there yet.

I was too busy being nosy and trying to boss the dirt work being done for a new batting cage. I threw my shoulder away last week pitching a baseball so now I guess I’ll be able to throw out both shoulders in a new batting cage.

I read a passage in the book, “The Innocent” by Harlen Coben that struck a nerve. Who is the first person you think of in the morning? If you are single, it’s yourself! How did you sleep? What to dotoday? How to dress? But if you have a child, you are never number one anymore. Someone is more important than you. Wow, that hit the mark!

Brightwater United Methodist Church invites the children to join them onthe grounds for an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7.

We were so sorry to hear that our choir director, Audrey Pederson, is ill, but an announcement was made that there would be a joint choir rehearsal at 4 p.m.

next Sunday at the Brightwater Church. Our best wishes for a quick recovery to Audrey.

Sorry kids, Spring Break is over.
