Webb’s ‘done’; quit seat on School Board

— Rick Webb said “Yeah, I’m done” Tuesday morning when asked if he hadresigned from the Pea Ridge School Board.

He refused to say more.

Neither SchoolBoard president Joshua Ramsey nor superintendent Dr. Roland Smith have received a letter of resignation.

Webb visited high school principal Rick Neal on March 5 and turned in his Arkansas Activities Association card and asked for his name to be removed from the school letterhead.

Webb walked out of the March 3 special School Board meeting. He did not attend Monday night’s regular School Board meeting, nor any of the special School Board meetings held over the weekend to hire a superintendent.

Those meetings resulted in hiring Neal as superintendent.

Webb, who ran for mayor last fall, has served on the school board since 2002.

His term expires in September.
