SOBRIETY CHECKPOINTS

— The Benton County Sheriff’s Office will participate in the upcoming State DWI Mobilizations. The Sheriff’s Office will conduct sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and other stepped-up enforcement from March 9-18 and April 13-22 looking for impaired drivers and especially young adults and teens who choose to drink and drive.

The message is especially important at this time of the year when many more young people are on the road for spring break.

For a young driver, this means one drink is all it takes to be impaired. Our message is simple, “Drive sober or get pulled over.” If a driver is over the limit, he or she will be arrested and taken to jail.
