— James Caleb Bertschy

James Caleb Bertschy, 21, Pea Ridge, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1990,at Rogers, to Timothy James Bertschy and Mary Kathleen Brown Bertschy.

He served in the ArmyNational Guard as an infantryman and later as a recruiter. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Services Ribbon.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Bertschy; his father, Tim Bertschy, and step-mother, Katherine, of Pea Ridge; his mother, Mary Kathleen Brown; a brother, Josh Bertschy of Dallas, Texas; a sister, KatieBertschy; one half-sister, Sarah Hight of Bella Vista;

two step-brothers, Cody Alan Clemence of Kansas, and Tyler Clemence of Pea Ridge; one step-sister, Danielle Powell of Pea Ridge.

Visitation was 5 - 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 20, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Bentonville City Cemetery with full military honors by the Army National Guard.

Billie Jean Dart, 81, of Cassville, Mo., died Sunday, June 17, 2012, in her home. She was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Washburn, Mo., to Hazel (Anderson) Bishop andGuy P. Church.

She grew up and received her education at Washburn, graduating with the class of 1948.

She was a licensed beautician, but most of her life was spent raising her family, raising chickens and helping her husband with their cattle.

One of her favorite pastimes was making quilts.

She also loved music, attending music parties on the weekends. She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church at Washburn.

On Aug. 5, 1956, she was united in marriage to Bernard Gordon Dart, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2010. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Hazel and Jack Bishop; and her father, Guy P. Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Weathers and husband, Johnny, of Washburn, Mo., Linda McBride and husband, Jerry, of Cassville, Mo., and Janet Ballard and husband, Roger, of Cassville, Mo.; two brothers, Wendell Bishop and wife, Jan, of Seligman, Mo., and Russell Bishop and wife, Eleanor, of Seligman, Mo.;

two sisters, Jackie Dart and husband, Gaylord, of Garfield, and Patsy Richardville and husband, Gary, of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at noon June 20, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, with pastors Ronnie Black and Russell Bishop officiating.

Burial was in Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus or Washburn United Methodist Church in memory of Billie.

Rita LaVerne Harger

LaVerne Harger, 74, died June 22, 2012, at her home in Garfield. She was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to Lyle and Margaret (Haynes) VanKirk.

On Dec. 20, 1956, she married Robert Harger in Chicago, Ill.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of thehome; two sons, Garry and wife, Susie, of Bella Vista and James and wife, June, of Rogers; two daughters, Julie Skach and husband, Dave, of Bentonville and Nancy Bailey and husband, Paul, of Checotah, Okla.; one grandson, Jordan Havens and wife, Bianca; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Seth and Rune Havens.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney, Kan.

Services were at 9 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Schmitt Funeral Home.
