— Charlie J. Cotton

Charlie J. Cotton, 85, of Rogers, died June 9, 2012. He was born in Rogers on Feb.

12, 1927, to Manuel and Hattie (McComb) Cotton.

He retired from Tyson Foods and wasa member of the House of God in Rogers. He loved fishing with his son and grandson, tending his garden, and was a fan of the Rogers Little League Giants.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Cotton; sister, Gracie Pace; and daughterin-law, Sarah Cotton.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine (Pendley) Cotton of the home; son, Billy Cotton of Rogers; grandson, Charlie and wife Leslie of Rogers; and his great-granddaughter, Jenna; a brother, George Cotton of McAlester, Okla.; sisters, Barbara Roberts of Purdy, Mo., Margie Johnson of Pea Ridge, Jessie Starnes of Exeter, Mo., and Hazel Bean of Pea Ridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Rogers Cemetery.

Paul Roger Evans

Paul “Roger” Evans, 57, of Seligman, Mo., died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at MercyHospital, Rogers, Ark. He was born on May 30, 1955, in Garfield, Ark., to Clarence and Hazel Morrison Evans.

He was a life-long Barry County, Mo., resident, and graduated from Southwest High School in Washburn, Mo., in 1973. He was a carpenter in the construction industry. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing.

Survivors include four daughters, Tyranny Ray and her husband Brad, of Centerton, Ark., Tammy Maddox and her husband Clint, of Raymore, Mo., Maggie Cornell and her husband Jeff, of Cassville, Mo., and Ashton Caton and her husband Cade, of Rogers, Ark.; three brothers, Denny Evans, of Seligman, Gary Evans, of Heber Springs, Ark., and Leo Evans, of Toledo, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and severalnieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, Mo.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Ruddick Cemetery, in Garfield, Ark., with the Rev. Jim Clay officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Ruddick Cemetery and entrusted to the White Funeral Home.

Lindalla Frances Green

Lindalla Frances “Lynn” Green, 49, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, June 8, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Sept. 22, 1962, in Little Rock, Ark., to Walter Leroy New and Linda FayeBooher.

She was passionate about serving people and spent her life caring for others.

She loved to travel and visit with friends.

She loved her family, enjoyed her grandchildren and will be missed.

She was preceded indeath by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Larry Gale Green; three sons, Terry Wayne Snelling, and wife Jenny, of Cherry Point, N.C., Wade Lawrence Green, of Tulsa, Okla., Justin Lee Green, of Gravette, Ark.; one daughter, Amber Dawn Snelling, of Bentonville; two brothers, Russell New of Seligman, Mo., Jeffery New, of Fayetteville, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Norman Hamby officiating.

Mitchell Jefferson Rogers

Mitchell Jefferson Rogers, 68, of Clinton, Mo., died at his home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. He was born on Sept. 9, 1943, to William Jefferson Rogers and Geraldine “Cox” Rogers in Bentonville, Ark.

He worked for Ducks Unlimited until his retirement in June of 2005.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Randall Rogers;

and one granddaughter, Lucy Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Judith, of the home;

two sons, Jeff Rogers (Malain) of Mexico, Mo., and Heath Rogers (Annie) of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; one sister, Jennifer Prophet (Ronnie) of Rogers; one sister-inlaw, Mary Durand (Henry) of Pea Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held June 8, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Clinton, Mo., with inurnment at the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.

Luis Antonio Romero

Luis Antonio “Tony” Romero, 34, of Bentonville, died June 8, 2012, at his home. He was born in Santa Ana, Calif., on April 3, 1978.

He was a security guard with Securitas and was a loving father, son and brother.

Survivors include his daughters, Ashlyn and Soraya Romero; mother, Sharon Romero of Pea Ridge; and siblings, Chris Boughton and wife, Chandra, of San Clemente, Calif., Sherry Clark of Corona, Calif., and Corey Rogers of Centerton.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Ralph Homer ‘Buz’ Sutton

Ralph Homer “Buz” Sutton, 75, of Pea Ridge, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012,at his residence. He was born March 15, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to Robert Hall Sutton and Geneva L.

Fitch Sutton.

Buz proudly served in the United States Army and played the baritone horn in the 49th Army Band in Verona, Italy. He had his private pilot’s license, enjoyed airplanes, NASCAR, the Indianapolis 500 and listening to the Gaithers.

He loved people, enjoyed making them laugh and had a big, generous heart.

He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Lowell and was full of the joy of the Lord. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Constance Sutton in 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jenks-Sutton; two daughters, Susan Hinds of Bentonville and Kimberly Sutton of Rogers; one sister, Rosalie Olson and husband, Gary, of Falls Church, Va.; two grandchildren, Nathan Hinds and wife, Kara and Kaylea Hinds; one greatgrandchild, Carter Hinds;

and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at First Baptist Church in Lowell, with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Full military honors will be presented following the service.

Veda Lou Treece

Veda Lou Treece, 70, died Tuesday, June 5, at herhome in Pea Ridge. She was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Shirley, Ark., to Clarence Caldwelland Alice Elzadia Sowell Caldwell.

She graduated from Shirley High School. She was a manager for Duluth Georgia Middle School Cafeteria for seven years, a manager-cook at Pea Ridge High School for 13 years, and worked at Walmart Warehouse No. 8 for 14 years. In 1970 she joined Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge where she was very active in church activities. She loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren and church family with all her heart and soul.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Heather Dawn Treece; one brother, Johnnie Caldwell; and one sister, Eva Horn.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Treece of the home; one son, Greg Treece and wife, Ginger, of Rogers; one daughter, Kelley Merrill and husband, Ronnie, of Pea Ridge; and four grandchildren, Kari Canoy, Cory Treece, Renae Merrill and Blake Merrill.

Visitation was 5-8 p.m.

Thursday, June 7, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Burial was at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Weaver Cemetery near Clinton, Ark.
