FFA officers begin new year

— Yes, it’s true, school just turned out for the summer. However, for the Pea Ridge High School FFA officer team, the work is just beginning.

Last Wednesday, May 23, members of the Pea Ridge FFA, along with their advisor Mr. Perry Mason, met at the Agriculture shop to begin working on the annual program of activities. We started with a cookout and enjoyed some awesome hamburgers and hotdogs.

Mr. Neal, our present principal and future superintendent was in attendance. Then, we looked over the plans for the upcoming school year and made suggestions which will affect the entire FFA Chapter this year.

The upcoming year promises to be one filled with activities. We arevery excited to begin our duties as officers in this FFA Chapter.

Officers present were: Cameron McAllister, vice president; Matthew Van Houden, president;

Taylor Winn, secretary; Abbye Coan, historian; K.C.

Cross, reporter; Heather Kremer, assistant sentinel; Thomas Lammey, vice president; and Austin Cope, sentinel.
