PEA RIDGE — The 2012 Blackhawk Football Camp will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, through Friday, July 20, at the Blackhawk indoor facility.
The camp is open to youth in second through sixth grades. The camp will be run by the Pea Ridge football staff (including a certified trainer), current and former Blackhawk football players, as well as some special guest speakers.
Included in the camp will be fundamental drills in all areas of the game - offense, defense, special teams, weight-lifting, conditioning, agility and speed-work. Other areas that will be stressed are character, discipline, team work and Blackhawk pride.
A concession stand will be available at break timesand at the end of the day.
Cost of the camp is $40.
Campers will be given a T-shirt and participation awards.
Fall and spring soccer sign-ups set
Soccer sign-ups for fall and spring are currently open online at www.nwalightning.org. Walk-up sign-ups will be from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 and Saturday, Aug. 11, at Pea Ridge City Park.
Single season price is $50 for ages 7 and under and $60 for ages 8 and up.
Half-price spring season discount will be given if a player signs up for both fall and spring at the same time.
