— Johnnie Floyd Demaree

Johnnie Floyd Demaree, 90, of Pea Ridge died Friday, June 29, 2012, atHighlands Nursing Home in Bella Vista. He was born Oct.

17, 1921, in Woodward,Okla., to Floyd David Demaree and Mary Roxanna Jones.

He was a World War II Army veteran with the 45th infantry division. He served in Anzio, Sicily, France and Germany. He worked for the Pea Ridge National Military Park and Pea Ridge Police Department before retirement.

He was baptized at the Bentonville Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; abrother, James Demaree; a sister, Marcella Miller; two brothers-in-law, R.G. Miller and C.L. Morgan; and a sister-in-law, Betty Morgan.

Survivors include his exwife, Martha Sue Demaree of Seligman, Mo.; two nieces, Cindy Townsley and husband, Mark, of Bentonville, and Dana Wilson and husband, David, of Manvel, Texas; two nephews, Shawn Demaree and wife, Debbie, of Sugarland, Texas, and Johnnie Miller and wife, Beverly, of Berryville;

a brother-in-law, Myrle Gene Morgan of Washburn; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Pat) Demaree of Pearland, Texas.

Memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, with a flag presentation by the Arkansas Military Honors Team.

Cremation arrangements were by Sisco FuneralHome in Pea Ridge.

Leon ‘Buck’ France

Leon “Buck” Tuller France, 86, of Pea Ridge, died Saturday, June 30, 2012,at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

He was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Fort Gibson, Okla., to HomerFrance and Marie Mann France.

He was employed by L.E. Myers electrical construction company. He enjoyed quarter horse racing and raising cattle. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ruby Duane France;

an infant son, Jerry Lee France; and two brothers, Charlie France and Bob France.

Survivors include two sons, Harold (Butch) France and wife, Connie, of Eureka Springs, Gary France and wife, Donna, of Pea Ridge;

one daughter, Barbara Carte and husband, Billy, of Prairie Grove; three sisters, Mary Ann Ingram and Patsy John, both of Rogers, and Roberta Upshaw of Anderson, Mo.;

nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was 6 - 8 p.m.

Sunday, July 1, at Sisco Funeral Home.

Funeral was at 10 a.m.

Monday, July 2, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Donald Keith Landis

Donald Keith Landis, 77, of Pea Ridge, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his home.

He was born May 31, 1935, in Plattsmouth, Neb., to Delvin Landis and Louise Parcell Landis.

He was a mechanic and enjoyed camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Landis; two great-grandchildren, Anna Crews and Carl Crews; and two half-brothers, Robert Garvey and Leroy Garvey.

Survivors include his wife,Eula Landis of the home; one daughter, Charlotte Atkins and husband, Ray, of Garfield; six sons, David Landis and Roger Keith of Holstein, Neb., Roy Landis, Ronald Landis and wife, Deana, all of Rogers, Carl Landis, and wife, Cindy, and Mark Landis and wife, Tammy, all of Pea Ridge, Scott Landis and wife, Esa, of Stockton, Mo.;

one sister, Charlotte Lutzinger of Beatrice Neb.; one half-brother, Larry Garvey of Lake Wells, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 6 - 8 p.m.

Tuesday, July 3, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

A graveside service is set for 9 a.m. Thursday, July 5, at Buttram Chapel Cemetery, with brother Randy James officiating.
