Square dancing is fun exercise

The fun times just get better for a square dancer!

The Ridge Rockers had a fabulous New Year’s Eve dance, with people from clubs all around the area attending. Remember that ugly rumor that Elvis was dead? Well, not so much. He appeared, in all of his glory, at the New Year’s Eve bash! He serenaded us for a while, then called several square dances, “Elvis style,” (aka Grant Roth).

We also had a Glow Worm Dance, with all of the lights out and dancers wearing glow-in-the-dark necklaces and bracelets. That got pretty tricky.

The “Mexican Fiesta” dance on Friday, Jan. 13, was a great follow up.

Dances are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, and Tuesdays, Feb. 10 and 24. For information and location (the location changes), call Grant Roth at 531-2043.
